Effective 11/2/2026. Last updated 10/22/2026.
WeLove is a community for people seeking a Christian marriage. These rules address respectful conduct and member safety. They apply to your profile, your photos, your Story posts, your messages, and how you treat people you meet here — on the app and off it.
1. Who WeLove is for
WeLove is a dating service for Christians seeking marriage. You can create an account if you meet the eligibility rules in the Terms of Service (18 internationally and 19 for Korea, subject to any higher applicable minimum age and lawful contract capacity). We ask you to respect this purpose and the following rules:
- Respect the service's Christian-marriage purpose. Describe your beliefs honestly. These Guidelines do not require a profession-of-faith warranty or theological test for account creation.
- You are not married or in a relationship. Divorced and widowed members are welcome. If you are married, engaged or in a committed relationship, WeLove is not for you. Members found to be married or in a relationship are removed.
- Church verification is not yet offered in the United States. When it is, the app will explain exactly what a church badge means. A badge is never a guarantee of identity or safety.
2. Be real
- Use your own recent photos, with your face clearly visible in at least one. No filters that change how you look, no photos of other people, no photos of children.
- Your name, age, church, job and relationship status must be true. One person, one account.
- Do not impersonate anyone, including a pastor or church leader.
3. Be respectful
We remove content and members for:
- Harassment and hate — insults, threats, intimidation, or attacks on anyone for their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion or denomination, age, disability, health, or appearance.
- Pressuring anyone about faith — recruiting for a church or group, or pressuring someone to change denomination or belief. WeLove is for meeting a spouse, not for proselytising.
- Sexual content — nudity, sexual photos, sexual requests or comments, or anything sexual involving minors, which we report to the authorities.
- Violence and self-harm — threats, glorification of violence, weapons shown to intimidate, content that promotes self-harm.
4. Keep it private
- Do not put contact details in your profile or first messages: phone numbers, email, home or work address, workplace name, social-media or messaging handles. Our staff may remove them.
